About Me

My Background

My role is simple yet powerful: to be there for you—offering reassurance, education, and calm presence—so you feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. I am the sister who walks alongside your family through one of life’s most sacred moments.

Hi, I’m Miranda Arapakis—full spectrum DONA-certified Birth Doula

and Breastfeeding Counselor.

For over 13 years, I have supported families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding journeys with compassionate, hands-on care.

My path began in 2013 when my best friend asked me to support her during the birth of her first daughter. That experience ignited a lifelong calling to serve—to comfort, guide, encourage, and stand beside families during one of the most transformative moments of their lives. As a doula, my passion is to be the steady presence who believes in you, even when you may doubt yourself.

I believe deeply that our emotional state is directly connected to our physical experience. A peaceful mind supports a peaceful body—and a more empowered birth. My support style is calm, rhythmic, and grounded. I coach and guide you moment by moment, helping you stay focused and relaxed through contractions, distractions, and unexpected turns. My words are meant to flow gently, like water—guiding you back to trust, breath, and the natural rhythm of your body.

Every birth is unique, and it is my goal to support you and your family toward a positive, meaningful birth experience—one that you will carry with you for a lifetime. Birth stories stay with us forever, and my vow is to help remove fear through education, comfort, and unwavering support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

As a mother myself, I understand this journey personally. My own birth story is beautifully mine, and it shapes how I show up for the families I serve. I am trained in Spinning Babies and have a background in the fitness industry as a trainer and coach, giving me a deep understanding of the body and movement from the inside out.

In addition to being a certified Breastfeeding Counselor, I bring firsthand experience, having nursed my two daughters for a combined total of over 36 months. My support is always judgment-free. No matter your circumstances, your goals, or your birth plan, I am on your team.

I have experience supporting all types of births, including medicated and unmedicated births, vaginal and cesarean births, as well as home, birth center, and hospital births.

Birth is both ordinary and extraordinary—like the sunrise: familiar, yet completely new each time. It is one of life’s smallest moments and greatest miracles. It is my honor to support you through it, because your birth experience will always be beautifully yours.

We chose Miranda as our doula for the birth of our first child, and it was one of the best decisions we made. She brought an incredible depth of knowledge about the birthing process and newborn care, enriched by her own experience as a mother. Looking back, it’s hard to imagine navigating our birth experience without her. Miranda worked seamlessly alongside the doctors and nurses on call, and she was a steady, reassuring presence by our side throughout labor and in the days leading up to it—always available, communicative, and attentive to our needs. We also deeply appreciated her thoughtful recommendations for natural, homeopathic remedies, ranging from diaper rash solutions to nutritional guidance. Even after the birth, Miranda continues to be a trusted resource, and we still turn to her for advice and support.

Our emotions link directly to our physical being. A peaceful mind is a peaceful body and so a peaceful birth.
