Hi, I’m Miranda Arapakis, a full-spectrum DONA-certified Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Counselor serving families in the West Chicagoland suburbs.

 

For over 13 years, I have supported women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding with compassionate, hands-on care. My journey began in 2013 when my best friend invited me to support her during the birth of her first daughter. That experience awakened a lifelong calling—to comfort, guide, and stand beside families during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives.

 

I believe a peaceful mind supports a peaceful body—and that confidence changes everything. My support style is calm, rhythmic, and grounded. I guide you moment by moment through contractions, decisions, and unexpected turns, helping you return to breath, trust, and the natural rhythm of your body.

 

Every birth is unique. My goal is to help you have a positive and meaningful experience—one you will carry with you for a lifetime. Birth stories stay with us forever, and my vow is to help replace fear with education, comfort, and unwavering support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

 

As a mother of two daughters, I understand this journey personally. My own birth experiences shape how I show up for the families I serve—with empathy, steadiness, and respect. I am trained in Spinning Babies and bring a background in fitness and coaching, giving me a deep understanding of movement and body awareness during labor.

 

In addition to being a certified Breastfeeding Counselor, I have personally nursed my daughters for a combined 36+ months. My support is always judgment-free. No matter your circumstances, goals, or birth plan—I am on your team.

 

I have experience supporting medicated and unmedicated births, vaginal and cesarean births, and families choosing home, birth center, or hospital settings.

 

Birth is both ordinary and extraordinary—like the sunrise: familiar, yet completely new each time. It is my honor to walk beside you, because your birth experience will always be beautifully yours.
